Saturday Shout-Out: Vintage Football at Vinegar Yard, London

If you’re looking for something to do in London this Easter Bank Holiday weekend, then why not head down to Vinegar Yard, Bermondsey for some great food, beer and vintage football shirts in the sunshine?

In the shadow of the Shard, just 2 minutes’ walk from London Bridge station is a new shopping, eating and drinking destination from the people behind Flat Iron Square.

With street food stalls, pop-up bars, and vintage shops selling everything from unique pieces of jewellery to reclaimed homeware and art prints; you’ll also find some classic football shirts and memorabilia at Vinegar Yard.

Leyton Orient fan Harry (@Hartexgram on Instagram), has an amazing array of vintage shirts, club scarves and bootleg designs for sale from his shipping container, handily situated in striking distance of the bars and food outlets.

London has a number of destinations for football shirt enthusiasts looking to add to their collections, and now, Hartex at Vinegar Yard can be added to that list of haunts.

Harry doesn’t just sell official club shirts from years gone by, but also has retro training tops, trainers, books and memorabilia, as well as plenty of casual pieces from retro 80s and 90s brands you may have forgotten existed.

When we popped down for a nose, Harry had the classic Adidas snowflake Manchester United away shirt for sale alongside vintage shirts from Juventus, Southampton, Barcelona, and that USA ’94 Germany ugly-poncho shirt.

What could be better than a beer in the London sunshine browsing football shirts?
