TSV 1860 Munich have launched their annual ode to drinking litre after litre of strong lager with the release of their latest Oktoberfest inspired football kit.
Each year 1860 Munich release a special kit in club colours to be worn once and sold globally.
Featuring lederhosen style shorts and a light-blue and white check shirt, the kits by Macron are the Bundesliga 3 side’s latest homage to the world famous Bavarian drinking festival.

Die Sechzger (the Sixties) like to get into the swing of the annual folk festival and whilst the players may need to keep up a professional pretense and keep away from the beer, pretzels and sausages; they can at least dress-up in traditional costume.
Oktoberfest celebrations have sprung up in all corners of the world in much the same way as St Patrick’s Day brings out the leprechaun hats everywhere from Dublin to Darwen.
Cynics may call the novelty kits a shameless publicity stunt but we’re pleased to see that unmistakable German sense of humour exhibited in the form of a yearly piece of Sartorial Soccer elegance.
All together now – Prost!
Die Löwen will wear their Oktoberfest tribute shirts when they play Wehen Wiesbaden at the Grünwalder Stadion on September 22.
