For our latest Kit of the Week, we draw focus away from the bright lights and billionaires back to grass-roots football. Join us to celebrate the efforts of a team dedicated to helping others through a mutual love of the beautiful game.
Supporting Charities FC are a team of fans, celebrities & ex-professional footballers playing football to raise funds for charities and awareness of good causes.
Our sixth Kit of the Week introduces SK Kits to the pages of Sartorial Soccer for the first time and features a blue hue with shocking-pink details. There’s more than a little Scandinavian styling too with the liberal spreading of supporters’ and sponsors’ logos on the SCFC shirts.
The club’s ambassadors are Hollyoaks actor David Kennedy, Damien McKiernan (most famous as playing Rory in Mrs Brown Boys) and James Hooton (Sam Dingle from Emmerdale). Ex-players who have supported the team include Lee Duxbury, Nathan Clarke, Andy Kiwomya and a certain Chris Waddle.
Club manager Chris Moralee has a team of volunteers to help him get the team prepared including assistant manager David Taylor, captain Richard Hall, Sally Martin (Team Liason Officer) and Louise Smith (Committee Member) who all give their valuable time to help raise funds for great causes.
WBO European Welterweight Champion Darren Tetley has generously donated time and memorabilia to help the club and let’s face it, with that kind of support, we were hardly going to argue about whether this kit is a belter or not were we?
Since their foundation, Supporting Charities Football Club have raised more than £6600 for many types of charities and organisations.

Some of the causes to have benefited include Manorlands Hospice, British Heart Foundation, Bradford Burns Unit, Children with Cancer and the Luke Harrison benefit match.
Many other great causes they have raised money for include ANDYMANSCLUB, Mind, and The Sick Children’s Trust.
If Supporting Charities FC was founded to help raise funds and awareness of charities and good causes, we hope that our Kit of the Week recognition can help spread their message to a very slightly wider audience.

Supporting Charities FC will be playing Chester Supporters FC to raise funds and awareness of Aaron’s Battle
The team’s next game will be in Chester on Sunday 28th October and is in support of Aaron’s Battle. There are plenty of ways you can support the club – check them out on Twitter for more details!
