Quality Kits of 2019: Western United go Geometric in Geelong

Continuing our look at some of the most eye-catching kits of 2019, we turn our attention to the geometric grandeur of Western United’s first away kit by Kappa.

The new boys have pitched up at Aussie Rules side Geelong’s ground whilst they build their own soccer specific stadium.

Ahead of their inaugural season, Western United revealed their green and black striped home colours before allowing Kappa to run riot with this geometric away kit.

Adding white to the club’s green and black colours, the Italian firm injected some triangular trickery into a shirt that got United’s first threads noticed by football fans across the globe.

The name Western United sounds like a money transfer business, so launching an incredible new kit was central to establishing an identity for fans of Melbourne’s third A-League club to latch onto.

The big question here is how on Earth Kappa follow this kit for Western United’s second season in 2020?
