Grimsby Town have released a trio of new kits for the 2020-21 season, with their smoked salmon third shirt a particular delicacy.
The League Two club have had a 13 year association with Italian firm Erreà, who continue to deliver fresh football shirts to the Blundell Park outfit.

This season’s home kit puts a new spin on Town’s traditional club colours with more black across the shoulders and chest than usual, whilst the blue away is another perfectly smart and functional design.
Yet its the Mariners’ 3rd shirt, looking like a meaty salmon fillet, that really catches the eye.

Of course Grimsby have worn pink before, but we’d wager that no football shirt has ever resembled a plate of gravadlax as closely as these and that might not be such a bad thing.
The North Sea port of Grimsby is famous for its fishing fleet and frozen food industries and Ian Holloway’s side have long been sponsored by one of the area’s biggest employers in Young’s Seafood.

Fishy football shirts might not be to everyone’s taste but whether intentional or not, we applaud Erreà’s new Grimsby Town kits and look forward to seeing highlights of this one on Catch of the Day.
