The Faroe Islands enjoyed a Nations League weekend to remember with back to back wins over Malta and Andorra in a beautifully bespoke set of kits from Macron.
The Faroes came from behind to beat Malta 3-2 with a last-gasp free-kick, before travelling to Andorra where they won 1-0 whilst debuting a smart set of white home strips.

The partnership between Macron and the Faroe Islands Football Association (Fótbóltssamband Føroya), is part of UEFA’s kit assistance scheme, which brings a touch of bespoke Italian tailoring to nations who may otherwise find it hard to find kits to be proud of.
UEFA supports smaller football federations by providing supplies and teamwear with Macron on hand to bring those individual flourishes they’ve become known for.
In the Faroes case, their white home shirt with subtle jacquard stripes features an embossed, contoured representation of the entire 18 island archipelago on the back of the shirt, with the national flag embroidered on the back of its v-neck collar.

It’s those little details that Macron’s growing reputation is built on, and whilst we haven’t yet seen it on the pitch, it’s the away shirt which really caught our attention.
Just look at how that red, white and blue crew neck collar brings the whole shirt together.
It’s so beautiful we could cry.

It would have been so easy to choose one of Nike’s new kits for Euro 2021 as our Kit of the Week, and great as they are, that’s never really been our style and will have been done to death elsewhere.
Instead, we’ll salute Macron and the Faroes for a fantastic couple of results and an even better pair of kits.
Now where did we put that woolly bobble hat?
