We’re back to celebrate the birthday of one of Poland’s oldest and most important football clubs, with our latest Kit of the Week feature.
Regular readers will know that we love to see timeless shirts that tell the story of a club’s history and this wonderful Wisła Kraków shirt from Macron does just that.
This is a lovely piece of kit.

Wisła toasted their 115th anniversary on Wednesday night with a friendly match against Napoli at their Stadion Miejski Wisły.
Whilst they may have lost their jubilee game 2-1, the Ekstraklasa side looked resplendent in this clean and classy strip from Macron.

At the heart of the design is the Biała Gwiazda (The White Star) from the club’s badge, sitting nicely on the chests of the shirts that come in a darker shade than their modern red colours.

The front of the jersey is embossed with the dates of the Kraków club’s Polish titles, forming a central stripe beneath a lace-up collar that helps form a faithful representation of the shirts worn in their earliest successes of 1927 and 1928.
There’s much to admire from Macron’s anniversary offering, with the golden flourishes around the collar and cuffs another aspect of the design that will further endear the Italian manufacturer to Wisła’s supporters.

Sadly, there’s probably not much hope for any kit connoisseurs holding out for a bargain, as just 1906 shirts have been produced, with a small number available for auction from the club’s website.
A shirt 115 years in the making and a worthy recipient of our latest Kit of the Week title!
Catch them while you can kids!
